Stomping loudly through the jungle the giant T. rex was hunting for food.His stomach growled.Food was scarce and he hadn't eaten in three days.

Nervously a herd of triceratops waited.With each huge step the T. rex got closer. With his strong sense of smell he could easily find smaller Dinosaurs.

Harold

This Monday room 13 went to the Life education caravan to see Harold & Lynn. We were there to learn about our body & feelings. We learnt to include people in our games and to look after the inside of our bodies.

Inside of our body is our food tube that is slim and long so it can push our food down. The food does not just drop, it gets pushed down our food tube. After it goes in our stomach it then goes into our intestines that are the the size of our thumb. Then it goes into our big intestines that spreads the food around our whole body in our blood.

Our heart goes fast when we are running and it is good for us but when our heart goes fast when we are sad that is not good for our heart.

This is below the line behaviour pushing,bragging,cutting the line,stealing and threatening. This is above the line behaviour manners, waiting, letting someone else go first, helping.   

Below the line is not okay above the line is great and below the line hurts people's feelings. Everybody should be included because not being included hurts.We even watched a movie that told us about being included it was called Billy's new school.

We had a lot of fun at the life education caravan.It teachd us to be respectful and to look after our bodies.i hope we will see Harold again next year because I had lots of fun learning with him.

My Big Secret

My biggest secret is way too embarrassing that I have never ever told anyone in my whole life.

I was in my first kapa haka show, we were just about to win when a boy by accident, hit me and I fell on the principal.

To make matters worse all the feathers on my dress fell on to the stage. The other students were sneezing and so was the principal. The whole hall was laughing at me.

I ran out of the hall crying. It was on camera so the whole world saw it on YouTube  or the news, even Maori television.

I locked myself in my room and went on YouTube to see my big tumble.

I felt bad until the next day when the other team came to my house and gave me the trophy. I could not believe it, I had a big tumble. I thanked them so much and I no longer felt bad at all. I never felt embarrassed again.

Luke Nola

Last Friday class 13 lined up at the brick wall.We we're  wondering where  we're we going and suddenly Miss King told us we were going to the hall.

When we arrived at the hall we saw a very special visitor his name was Luke Nola he is an inventor.He showed us funny inventions that children had made.

Luke Nola invented an app it was called Let's Get Inventing.We use it to make our inventions it was very fun.

We had say goodbye to Luke Nola.He was amazing to room 13.We missed Luke Nola he is very Awsome.

This machine is called a Pastry machine.The Pastry machine makes good food like pies,cake,cookies,and Pizza.The Pastry machine makes what ever yummy food you can think of.

We made finger puppets with miss Trimble.It was heaps of.My puppet is a person.

ANZAC day

ANZAC stands for Australia  and New Zealand army corps.ANZAC day is a national for New Zealand and Australia .The symbol for ANZAC day is the poppy flower.the ANZAC army's suffered huge Deaths at the Gallipoli beach.

MOTAT

On Tuesday the 17th of all of the year 3 students went to motat.First of all we had morning tea.Then went to see some inventions with abbey in the invention room we saw the first and the latest phones.After that to see some things like the church,the old school and the village.Next we got to go into the mirror maze it was very difficult but I found the way out.And then we saw this game thing and in that there was this spinning around thing,this earthquake thing,these crazy mirrors and then we saw this glow thing that whenever you touch it the Lightning goes to your hand.Then we saw the mirror maze it was making me dizzy.I like it at MOTAT.

Hokule'a waka

On the 25 of March all of the Manaiakalani schools went to welcome the Hokule'a waka to the shores of Pt England beach.We sang our waiata to welcome them nicely.The beautiful sunshine was reflecting on the water.There was 2000 kids the oldest kids were tamaki college.all of the kids were sitting on the wet grass and under the hot sunshine.We are lucky that nobody got left behind.

Duffy Show

We are using adverbs to begin two sentences about The Duffy Show.

An adverb describes the way that we are doing something.

Excitedly Duffy ran into the hall and said "hello" to everyone in the hall.

Loudly Duffy screamed as he pulled the snake out of the basket.
